Isabel Hofmeyr

Isabel Hofmeyr is a Professor of African Literature at University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her passion for discovery has led her to become an award-winning writer, a leading academic and Wits University's newest A-rated researcher. Her publications include The Portable Bunyan: A Transnational History of the Pilgrim's Progress (2004) and We Spend Our Years as a Tale That Is Told: Oral Historical Narrative in a South Chiefdom (1993).
