Sarah Nuttall

Sarah Nuttall is Professor of Literary and Cultural Studies at the Wits Institute for Social and Economic Research (WISER) in Johannesburg, South Africa. She is also a Visiting Professor in the English Department at Duke University, where she teaches for one semester each year. She is the author of Entanglement: Literary and Cultural Reflections on Post-Apartheid, editor of Beautiful/Ugly: African and Diaspora Aesthetics, and co-editor of numerous books, including Negotiating the Past: The Making of Memory in South Africa, Johannesburg: The Elusive Metropolis, and Load Shedding: Writing On and Over the Edge of South Africa.
